I can’t believe it is already August and that I am already back on set with my amazing TVD family. Life is busier than ever and there is much to look forward to in the coming months. As I’m sure most of you know, ISF has been working hard on putting together our very own Vampire Diaries convention which was originally slated for November. However, we are pushing back the convention by a few months to be able to make the convention the best it can be and so that we can enjoy the company of more of my cast-mates.

Another really awesome event that I have the privilege of participating in is on September 22. The Strut Your Mutt event in Lafayette, Louisiana is being hosted by the amazing Best Friends Animal Society whose mission of “No more homeless pets” is truly inspiring. The money we raise at the event will help us with our dream of building our very own animal sanctuary. So come out and help us reach surpass our goal of raising $150,000. If you can’t make the event, you can join our virtual dog pack and help us spread the word.

Speaking of our dream of an animal sanctuary, we are still working tirelessly to help make that dream a reality. Unfortunately, the initial land we had our hearts and eyes on has fallen through and we are on the search for a new location. Before the location can become concrete, we need the funding so we need your help. If just 1,000 of my twitter followers could donate $10 a month for one year we could make that dream a reality. So spread the word and tell your friends, family, coworkers… heck tell the random guy on the street! We just get the word out there.

We have a lot of projects and exciting things up our sleeves as we approach the 2nd anniversary of ISF, including a new fundraising campaign that comes with a perk for donors and our youth development conference.
