London is the capital city of the UK. It is the 7th biggest city in the world. It is next to the river Thames. There are 27 bridges over the river. The most famous are: Tower bridge, London bridge, Waterloo bridge and Westminster bridge. Tower bridge opens when a big ship comes. Today, London is a famous city. A lot of tourist come to visit as St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the Crown Jewels and Tower.
There are two other address in London that the whole world knows. One is the Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives. The other is Downing street 13, where the Prime Minister lives.
Piccadilly Circus is the center of London. There are many shops. London Eye is next to the river Thames. It is huge and very interesting. You can see the entire city at the top.
In 1665 Londoners died of plague. In 1666 a bakery caught fire. The city had wooden houses. After the Great Fire the Londoners rebuilt their city.

London is one of the most visited cities in the World. Tourists from all over the Globe come to see it´s most famous sights: St. Paul´s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Tower, London Eye. London Eye is a ferris wheel right on the banks of the River Thames. You can see the entire city from it. Beside these attractions, there are 2 other sights, every tourist wants to see. The first one is the Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the Queen. The second one is Downing Street 10, the Prime Minister´s official residence.
London is also well-known as a great place for shopping and nightlife.
