Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei, South Africa on 18th July in 1918. He learnt at University College of Fort Hare. After 2 years, he assisted in demonstration so he must have left the school. After university he moved to Johhannesburg, where he met with Walter Sisulu. Sisulu got Mandela to Witwatersrand University,where Mandela finished his studies. In 1944 he joined the African National Congres first as an activist, then as the founder and president of the ANC. In 1952 in procession the police seized the ANC’s leaders. After that Mandela had been discharged. After he had been released he was travelled around Africa. When he went home, the police again seized him. Then in 1990 he had been released. In December 1993, Mr Mandela awarded the Nobel Peace Price. Five months later, for the first time in South Africa's history, all races voted in democratic elections and Mr Mandela was elected president.
