One afternoon on a weekend, we were looking around the net for some ideas for a vacation. We planned to travel to a coastal or mountain location. We were also looking for accommodation. Finally, a beautiful seaside hotel in Greece was selected after a family discussion. Driven by the pictures of the beautiful views, the hotel being new and images of tempting foods, I checked with the travel agent the availability of travel date.

We had high hopes for the holiday, we packed up and left on a Sunday morning by bus for the long journey. The next morning we arrived and we thought that we got off at the wrong bus stop. The hotel did not look anything as advertised, it had no likeness to the picturesque place of the brochure. The real surprise was yet to come! Instead of the beautiful garden, the grounds resembled a junkyard. The beach, instead of white sand and clear water had garbage and smelly sewage. Instead of having breakfast at the hotel, we ate from the nearby restaurant's selection.

Instead of having some family fun, we were just arguing. Wee could hardly wait for the seven days to pass. Finally, we boarded the bus on the following Sunday and vowed to never return to Greece again.
