This is a bar chart about the proportion of regular internet users in different types of settlements in 2008. The horizontal axis shows different types of settlements (Budapest, Town, Village, National average) and the vertical axis shows the percentage of internet users.

In Budapest the proportions of internet users exceeds the national level. In the capital the ratio were 66 per cent, whereas in smaller towns and villages the ratio is below average, which was 46 per cent. The ratios of the villages were 31 per cent. This was the lowest ratio in 2008. I think that, in the following years the average will turn and the rate show a slight growth. Nowadays much more people use the internet, than six years ago.

According to my personal experience, nowadays the older age groups also use the Internet. For example, my grandfathers' sister also uses the Internet, who is already sixty-two years old.

The horizontal axis shows the percentage and the vertical axis shows the different types of activities. For example: online gambling, download of payable music and video, online TV watching, free online games, usage of Wikipedia, etc.

The most prominent data between the activities are the online place-hunting. 67% of the 14-69 old used the internet for online place-hunting. 52% of Internet-related read blogs, but only 11% write them. Two-third of internet user logs on video sharing sites, occasionally at least and 18 per cent has already uploaded some kind of video onto the web at least once. For example: to the YouTube.

I think that, the Chat is the most widely used activity of those surfing the net, because nowadays almost every teenagers or even the older age groups use the Facebook, the Skype or the Viber, which facilitate the exchange of information, or only you can chat with your friends.
