Task A

You are studying in England and you have received an email from a friend, Brian, with the

following advertisement. He would like to see the exhibition and wants you to go with him:

Walking with Beasts

Horniman Museum, 100 London Road, London, SE23 3PQ

This is an exhibition of models of creatures that lived 65 million

years ago: a life-sized woolly mammoth, a cat-like animal called

smilodon, the bear-like megatherium, the llama-like

macrauchenia and a 150 kg bird known as a phorusrhacos.

The exhibition also contains objects from the museum's

collection, including the bones of a 10,000-year-old mammoth.

Write an email of 50-80 words in which you accept the invitation and

• say why you are interested,

• ask about the length of the programme and entrance fees,

• ask when and where to meet.
