• My family is one of the most important thing in my life. My parents are divorced and I live with my mother, with my brother and with my grandparents. My mom is a nurse and my dad works at a decor company. They are my role models. I learned everything from them. However, my dad has a new family in Szeged, we still have a strong and powerful relationship.

• It’s great to live with my grandparents not just because my mom can’t cook but I have a chance to learn from them. On the other hand it’s not as much great to live with my brother. he is really stubborn and messy. Because of that I would love to be an only child, that way I wouldn’t have to share the room or the bathroom and most importantly the attention.

However, having a sibling – a brother – taught me how to share my stuff and improved my patience.

• In the 21st century the size of the average family is shrinking, there are more childless couples which is sad because it’s a facts the population of Hungary. On the other hand the number of the divorced families are increasing. For example, my family. However, I feel very lucky, because I have a very good relationship with my stepmother and with her twins. I feel lucky also because in that case I get 2 birthday presents.

• The factors which are affecting the decrease in the number of families are personal choices, family planning (birth control), career and high expenses of raising a children.

Same gender couples is one other thing which is a new thing in the 21st century. maybe not as much in Hungary but they live together more openly as they did it before.
