Few weeks ago I went to see the Avatar. It is an epic science fiction movie. It takes place in 2154 on Pandora which is an Earth-like moon in the Alpha Centaury star system. The RDA Corporation is mining here unobtanium, a valuable mineral. The main character is Jake Sully, who is a former marine and his twin brother was murdered in a robbery. Jake replaces his brother in the Avatar Program because their DNA is similar, therefore he can use his brother’s avatar. Jake has to persuade the Na’vis (the natives of Pandora) to leave their home, the Hometree behind because it is on top the richest deposits of unobtanium for hundreds of miles. But the Na’vis don’t want to go away…

The director is James Cameron, and it stars Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver. The film cost more than 235 million dollars.

I think it is a fantastic movie. The special effects are really excellent, especially if you watch it in 3D. It’s like you were in the film. The soundtrack is also really good, I’ve just bought it. Its storyline is full with stereotyped phrases, but even so it’s a really spectacular movie. You have to see it!
