Holy freaking Salvatore! After witnessing all those twists and turns in “Black Hole Sun,” we’re anxious to find out what other sorts of jaw-dropping surprises those TVD writers have up their sleeve. Knowing their penchant for shocking reveals and mind-blowing build-ups, they’re probably just getting warmed up. And according to The CW”s official preview trailer for The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 5 it doesn’t seem like the supernatural drama train will be slowing down any point soon; in fact, it’s picking up speed!

Titled “The World Has Gone and Left Me Behind” (also the name of a kick-ass song by Weezer), the upcoming installment is packed tense situations. Not only does a fun, traditional Whitmore College event turn gruesome, but Ivy — Stefan’s ex-girlfriend whom Enzo turned into a vampire — is on the loose and utterly insatiable when it comes to blood. It appears she hasn’t quite mastered the art of “snatch, eat, erase” yet.

“Every dead sorority girl tonight is officially on you,” Caroline hisses to Stefan over the phone. She looks enraged, and who can blame her? Not only is Ivy attacking everyone she runs into like they’re Happy Meals on legs, but Sarah aka Runaway Girl knows that she and Elena are vampires. It’s certainly not going to bode well for anyone when bodies with mauled start popping up around Mystic Falls.

Meanwhile, as Care Bear helps Stefan vamp-sit Ivy, Bonnie and Damon race against time to make it home before the next solar eclipse. Unfortunately, it appears they run into a bit of a snag. According to the new footage, their key outta 1994 Bizzaro World — crazy Kai — gets viciously attacked and may or may not be dead.

As for Tyler Lockwood? His teaser scene in promo is no longer than a second but we notice that he’s panicked. He also utters this chilling line: “If he dies, I’m a werewolf all over again!” Yikes!

Basically, any preview video that begins with a scared young girl speeding through a cornfield certainly means viewers are in store for a night of sheer terror.
