Who can use Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is open to backers all over the world.

Meanwhile, project creation is currently available to individuals in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands who meet the requirements below.

US-based creator requirements:

—You are 18 years of age or older.*

—You are a permanent US resident with a Social Security Number (or EIN).

—You have a US address, US bank account, and US state-issued ID (driver’s license).

—You have a major credit or debit card.

UK-based creator requirements:

—You are 18 years of age or older.*

—You are a permanent UK resident either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a Companies House Number.

—You have a UK address, UK bank account, and government-issued ID (driver’s license or passport).

—You have a major credit or debit card.

Canada-based creator requirements:

—You are 18 years of age or older.*

—You are a permanent resident in Canada either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a Business Number.

—You have a Canadian address, Canadian bank account, and government-issued ID (driver’s license or passport).

—You have a major credit card.

Australia-based creator requirements:

—You are 18 years of age or older.*

—You are a permanent resident in Australia either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a Business Number.

—You have an Australian address, Australian bank account, and government-issued ID (driver’s license or passport).

—You have a major credit or debit card.

New Zealand-based creator requirements:

—You are 18 years of age or older.*

—You are a permanent resident in New Zealand either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a Company Number.

—You have a New Zealand address, New Zealand bank account, and government-issued ID (driver’s license or passport).

—You have a major credit or debit card.

Netherlands-based creator requirements:

—You are 18 years of age or older.*

—You are a permanent resident of the Netherlands either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a KvK number.

—You have a Dutch address, Dutch bank account, and government-issued ID (driver's license or passport).

—You have a major credit or debit card.
